Silent Cellar Wine Refrigerators
Silent Cellar Wine Refrigerator Overview
As a wine collector, whether seasoned or amateur, it is important to have proper storing facilities. If you don’t have a wine cellar, there are a number of options when it comes to wine fridges, coolers, or cabinets. Many are similar in design and functionality, but one company has come up with an innovative and unique feature.
The revolutionary Silent Cellar by Dometic turns the traditional wine cellar into a compact kitchen storage cooler that makes absolutely no noise. The unique technology behind the Silent Cellar involves no moving parts and depends entirely on airflow. As the Dometic website explains, “A proprietary solution is heated and pumped into the absorber. The vapor is cooled in the condenser into a fluid, which runs into the low temperature evaporator, where it evaporates into a weak coolant atmosphere. As it evaporates, the heat transfer solution absorbs the heat and produces cold. This principle does not use a motor or compressor, generates no vibrations and operates with complete silence and efficiency.”
Because of the absorption technology, there are no vibrations and the unit operates in silence. While compressors and generators cause vibrations that can harm fine wines over time, Silent Cellar controls temperature and humidity without moving parts so it increases the life span of your wine.
